Welcome to the Music Room Site!
Hello to All Music Colleagues, Parents, and Students!
I am the music specialist for two area schools in Southwest Florida. I have been teaching for 10+ years and received my masters in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University in 2009. I teach chorus, and maintain a violin program in addition to general music theory to Kindergarten through 5th grade.
In 2012, I was selected by the Florida Music Educators Association to present a lesson at the annual state convention which was held in Tampa in January! Needless to say, I was quite excited about that.
I graduated from Nova Southeastern University in 2009 with a M.S. in Educational Leadership. I earned the Ed.D. degree in Organizational Leadership with a minor in Curriculum Instruction in September 2016. I hope to become an arts administrator in the near distant future.
It is a pleasure to work with you all. Best Wishes for a Musical Year!

All County 5th Grade Honors Chorus, Strings, World Drumming and
Orff Ensembles
Students are selected for the All County 5th grade Honors Festival. Concerts are performed annually and approximately 210 of the best singers in the county sing at this prestigious festival. It is an honor and a privilege for me to select the best choral singers as they represent our school and our district every year. Students are also selected to play Orff xylophones, strings, and world drumming in the ensemble.
Florida Music Educators Association (FMEA) - Tampa Bay Convention Center
At the FMEA conference, teachers attend the state convention which convenes annually in January of every year. The top chorus, orchestra, band and guitar students meet, perform, and are recorded each year. Nationally known clinicians speak on topics ranging from arts advocacy to common core standards and interdisciplinary topics throughout the curriculum. Teachers train in areas from technology to string instruments. Exhibitors display the latest updates in equipment and products from all the top music vendors. This is a four day conference event.
